The Student Motor Quote Company currently offers Student Possessions Insurance directly through Endsleigh Insurance Services.

This policy can cover up to £8000 worth of items in your student accommodation, and also cover items such as your mobile phone and mp3 player whilst out and about.

Many people choose to be covered on their parent or guardian's policy, which after a claim can put up their own home insurance premiums. Students should also be aware that by insuring their belongings on their parents home policy, they might not be covered for 'walk in' theft. This accounts for 35% of student burglary and therefore renders many parental policies completely inappropriate for students.
